Bringing Wyatt's home to him

Wyatt is a growing manaic! He now weighes 12lbs 1oz... that is a weight gain of 3 ounces over a 24 hour period! Today Wyatt was wide awake all day long for his vistors- mom-mom,pop-pop, Benji, and myself. It was late before I left, because I wanted to rock him asleep and it took awhile. Yesterday a doctor told me that she was looking at the pictures of Wyatt that are hanging on his crib. (The pictures are a collage of his adventures of the past four months) The doctor said that it looks like Wyatt is really loved from the looks of his crib and I said without even thinking, "We try to bring Wyatt's home to him, since he has not been home." On my way home, I was thinking that it's true... we do bring Wyatt's home to him, and hopefully he does not think he is sick in the hospital. CDH Awareness Day is March 31st, and my friend Vicki is organizing a blood drive in honor of her son Jack, who is a CDH survivor. Once I find out more details, I'll let you know. It will be in Federick.

Holy cow. What are you feeding that boy? Seriously! Jack is 12 lbs 11.5 oz. He seems to do the ol' gain a few, hang out at the same weight 3 days and scare mommy then gain a few more. I'll tell him Wyatt's weight to see if he's got a competitive spirit and will eat more. haha! I agree with Danielle - Wyatt definitely needs a T-shirt. Maybe "I kicked CDH & ECMO's butt!" haha.

I'm so glad to hear he's doing exactly what you want...rest and grow. Only a few more days until he flies over his next and hopefully last hurdle before going home!
