Welcome Home Aunt Danielle!

Aunt Danielle playing with Chloe...all day long...

This is what dinner time looks like in our house. Wyatt gets one hour off of his feeds a day, so while we eat, he does not... he just sits and watches us eat.

My sister is home! She attended Richmond University, then lived in Guam, and a year later moved to Sasabo, Japan where she resided for the past four years. She has not lived at home for the past 10 years!! She is back and she is married to her best friends brother, Gino who also lives in our hometown. They are such a cute couple and we are very happy for them. They are planning on turning my grandmother's basement into an apartment temporally (my grandmother lives next to my parent's house, and my aunt and uncle live in the house, on the other side next to my parent's house too!!) . They purchased land in Turks and Caicos and plan on establishing a business in the Caribbean. Aunt Danielle spent the entire day with Chloe and Wyatt and they had a lot of fun!

Wyatt is feeling much better. He only received 1/2 dose of Oxycodone this morning and Motrin twice. His chest tube dressing was removed and it looks good. We have a follow-up appointment with his surgeon on April 30th. The only thing I am nervous about is his central line. We need to flush it with heparin everyday, change the dressing once a week, and it could possibly get infected. If it does get infected, the line goes straight to the bloodstream to the heart. If we are not using it, then I feel much better if it is removed. We'll talk to his surgeons about it. Wyatt has difficult access and I think they want to keep it in, just in case.

Also today, my friend Pat gave Chloe a cute book about being a big sister. She loves it and their will be pictures posted soon!! Chloe is such a good big sister. She especially enjoys sharing with Wyatt, bouncing him in his seat, and rubbing him on the head. She also gives him a kiss good night before she goes to sleep.

I haven't posted in a while but I've been following up on Wyatt. I'm so glad he's home and got to spend so much time with Aunt Danielle. That's so great that you guys are all together again! Good luck with the follow up appt. I hope they pull the central line too. That has to be very stressful for you guys but it's a testiment to how great you are at caring for Wyatt that they let him go home with it. I'm sure they don't trust everyone like that!
