Wyatt has come a long way since Thursday. He is now resting peacefully in his crib sleeping. The surgery to repair his hernia was successful and since then he has been healing. The last few days seem to be painful and uncomfortable for Wyatt because he had a chest tube in and was just sore from surgery. He is receiving oxycodone and a fentanyl on-damand pain drip. He also gets Tylenol prn. Today he seems 90 percent better... back to his smiling self! His chest tube was removed yesterday, he got a bath, and is wearing clothes. His feeds are up to his goal and he is tolerating them. Also... the exciting news of the day. Recently Wyatt's oxygen was 1/4 liter since he reherniated. This morning it was turned 1/8th liter and he was stating at 100 percent.... so we turned off his oxygen and he stayed around 96-98 percent. His respiratory rate was a little high, so after a fews hours it was turned back to 1/8th liter. Now I am looking at the screen and it's 100 percent, 135 bmp, and 38 rr. That is awesome for Wyatt and a huge improvement!!! We may get to go home tomorrow. BUT........... my mom just called and Chloe has a fever!!! It figures!!! She is on her way to Patient First to find out if it's an ear infection. I really don't want to contaminate our house with her sick germs if we are bringing Wyatt home.
On a side note... my friend Stacy Weber is here with her baby Emma... she is only a few rooms away from Wyatt. Emma and Wyatt met each other for the first time today! Please pray for Emma so she can be home where she belongs:))

What an amazing little trooper! That word, amazing, is over used...but truly applies when describing little Wyatt James. Hang in there Wyatt! Surely it gets tougher to lay still the older you get, but you'll be all better SOON!
Hang tough, sweet baby boy.
We love you!

I hope this is Wyatt's last hump!! Can't wait to see him!!
I'm so proud of Wyatt. I'm just going to be praying that he can get off of that last little bit of oxygen. I know how great it feels as you move one step closer to having a "wireless" child. I keep telling Ned how that is our goal! He's obviously not as ambitious about it as I am? So glad you are all doing well and Wyatt is getting back to his old self....even an improved version!
I'm so happy to hear he is doing better. Hope to talk to you guys soon.
