Wednesday Update

Just when we found out that Wyatt may have reherniated, he is now showing some symptoms. Such as spitting up brown blood, turning to his side and crying in pain, and spitting up more often. The symptoms come and go with periods of happiness in between. I hate to see he like that and just want to get him all fixed up so he can just heal from everything... but I know it's good to wait as long as he can stand it so that he can grow and gain weight. If his symptoms get worse, I will have to talk to the surgeon about next steps.

We increased his feeds to 40ml which is his goal. It's only one more ml, so hopefully it won't be a big deal and he will tolerate it. We also took him for a nice walk today and he enjoyed looking around! His central line site looks good. We wipe it with sterile water and apply antibiotic cream to it since it was growing bacteria. I hope this prevents an infection. Wyatt was also weighed and he is now 15 lb 2 oz!! I am so happy we reached the 15 lb mark!! I think it's almost healed, so that's great news! That's all for today! Thanks to my sister and father for spending the day with Wyatt and Chloe! I know they were tired at the end of the day and we really appreciate it!
