I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

Weekend Re-cap
This weekend was fun and busy!! On Saturday, we went to my cousin's Sabrina's house for a party. Wyatt stayed home with Daddy... but Chloe had a great time. Sabrina lives in Federal Hill, Baltimore and her house has a top deck... Chloe felt free as a bird running around. Father's Day was Sunday, but Daddy had to work all through the night and day since it was "network down day." So Father's Day is post-poned until next Sunday. I decided to venture out to the parent's house an hour a way with both kids. We had crabs and pizza outside and Wyatt enjoyed every minute of it. Chloe loved playing soccer with her Aunt and Uncle. Our ex-nanny is in town, so Monday night the girls went out to catch up on life. Nanny is very happy in Portland and we are very proud of her!!!
My sister wrote another sweet message about baby Skyla on her blog.
On a side note, Wyatt's feeding tube has a small tear in it and it's impossible to keep tight!! We have to tape the food tube to it and it's really annoying!!! Hopefully we can solve the problem soon.
