I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

The Weekend
Wyatt enjoyed a weekend with just his Daddy. I went to the beach with the girls and Chloe spent the weekend with my parents and Aunt Danielle/Uncle Gino. Wyatt and Daddy ventured out to the local grocery store together and instead of driving, they walked there! They also enjoyed hanging out at with our neighbor at the neighborhood yard sale together. Tonight is his last night of the diuretics and then he will just be on Prevacid!! This Wednesday is the swallow study!! Go Wyatt Go!!

Wyatt,
You're doing so great! Only Prevacid? That's nothin! Non-CDH babies need prevacid sometimes.
Best of luck with your swallow study. Don't let that lady scare you. Protect that airway so you can start eating yummy stuff and kick that G-tube to the curb!
