I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

Another CDH baby needs your prayers
The power of a blog is amazing... I never thought I would make so many connections with people around the world and have so much support for Wyatt and other CDH babies. The purpose of this blog is to educate others about CDH, but to also have as many supporters to pray for these little babies as possible. Well.. another baby needs your prayers. Baby Seth is on ECMO and the doctors are doing everything they can for him. Read Baby Seth's carepage for more info.

Gina - I can't get to Seth's link. Maybe I have to be a member or something? Or it's set on private?
I have also been following Seth's progress and it sounds like there is a miracle in the making.
I have also recently read up on your little Wyatt's story. I discovered all these great CDH blogs a few months ago and have been catching up. They are so inspirational. I wish I had known about them when I gave birth to my CDH baby in late November of 2007. Your Wyatt looks like one happy baby. His journey has been a rough one, but isn't it amazing how the babies manage to enjoy their little worlds despite it all.
Conincidentally we named our son Wyatt as well. I really liked the name and loved the meaning. We chose his name before he was born and we had no idea how fitting it would be. Our Wyatt's CDH was a surprise at birth.
My Wyatt is 7 months now and doing well. I'll continue to follow your Wyatt's story. You must be an awesome mom because both your kids look so happy and as the mother of 1 I can only imagine that 2 (especially when 1 needs some extra special attention) is tons of work!
