One day when Jack was having a really bad day the Catholic priest that baptized Jack, Father Gilberto, came by to visit us. He looked at Jack then at my Uncle Len (who was visiting) and I. He said, "You may ask how our God could allow such suffering of the innocent. God chose you to be Jack's mother. You're strong enough. Maybe God has allowed this experience so that you can experience a miracle in your lifetime."
I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

miracle
Vicki, Jack's mom wrote this on Jack's blog and it also gave me chills. Her blog post reminds me of how lucky I am to be Wyatt's mother and that I had an opportunity in my lifetime to experience a miracle...... the birth of Wyatt.

Gina,
This is true for you and Benji. I've always thought this to be true.
