Election Day!

Today Susan and I took Wyatt and Chloe to a play to see "Harry the Dirty Dog" at our local theater. We also met our other nurse, Kathy and her kids there and sat all together. Wyatt was so cute, he kept looking at all of us and was probably thinking why are his nurses and mom all together??? We had a great time! Wyatt fell asleep as soon as we sat down for the play, but we didn't want him to sleep through it, so Susan did everything she could to try to wake him up. When the music started, Wyatt woke up, sat straight up and watched the entire play. He only cried when the actor hit the high notes, but he enjoyed watching the hour long play. Chloe also enjoyed it. After being awake for 10 hours, Wyatt finally got to take a nap from 2-4pm. We also noticed that Wyatt has a red spot and knot on his thigh from receiving his 1 year old shots about 1 1/2 weeks ago. His ECMO wound looks a bit puffy and is leaking pus. So I e-mailed our pediatrician today and he is not worried about the knot, but is worried about his ECMO wound and so am I. We are putting antibiotic ointment on it and it's looking a little bit better:)) Hopefully it's nothing.

I also just discovered another CDH baby who was given her angel wings after one year in the hospital. Reese passed away on her birthday. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kostijuk family.

In other news, Wyatt's nurses Kathy and Susan are also nurse one day a week for a little 4 year old girl, Jamie Ann. Yesterday, on her birthday, she passed away. I know Kathy and Susan are grieving and our thoughts and prayers are with them. They had an opportunity to visit her in the hospital on Saturday together and I was told that she passed very peacefully.
