My sister, Danielle's Wedding in Isla Murjeres, Mexico

My sister's wedding was a dream come true. It was all about Danielle and Gino and it represented them well. It was non-commericialized, few toursists, and reflected the flavor of small island life. Sixty family and friends traveled to a small 8 mile long island of Isla Murjeres, Mexico located off the coast of Cancun. The festivities started with a pool party at my sister's house- Casa Bonita where she was staying with all her college and high school buddies... plus my neighbor Ligia. The first night everyone arrived, Danielle and Gino hosted a pool party at Casa Bonita, the house where my sis was staying. My father grilled hamburgers and hotdogs while all the friends folicked in the water. The house itself could of hosted the wedding because it included pavillions with outdoor kitchens, private beach and pool, trampoline, baby swings, etc.... very secluded and best of all we had it all to ourselves the entire time. The next day was Halloween. Gino's parents hosted an awesome rehersal dinner at Bamboo Too. We had a wonderful Fajahti buffett with fish, chicken, and beef, plus traditional Mexican food such as all the homemade gucamole that you wanted!! The location was this cool restaurant called Bamboo Too located along the ocean with really cool chairs made out of tree roots. The night was topped off with dancing. You may not recognize us because we were dressed up for Halloween of course and we had the entire place to ourselves!! The morning of the wedding was totally relaxed at Casa Bonita. The girls stayed in the master suite getting ready, doing nails, Ligia fixed everyone's hair, and we just sat around and giggled like girls should on a wedding morning! We even had time to lay by the pool. The cermony started at 2pm and it was at the Catholic Church in the town square. It was performed by a Catholic priest from Michagen on a mission in Cancun. Then we were sernaded by some music in the square and walked through the local town to our ferry. The ferry took us to a private ocean club on the beach on the opposite end of the island where it was nice and quiet. We were the only people at the ocean club and it was so nice and secluded. We were welcomed by the Marache band and had cocktails on the beach lounging on couches and lounge chairs as the sun was setting. Then we had dinner and our choices were fish, chicken, or beef and coconut ice cream. Several toasts were made and Liz hosted the "shoe game." My toast them was along the lines of Danielle being the more priviledged sister since she got two weddings (to the same guy) and I only got one:)) it was a joke:)) After dinner, the guest enjoyed a movie of Danielle and Gino as kids and then the dancing began!! I think Danielle, Gino, and all there friends danced the entire night!! It was the most perfect wedding and only Danielle could pull it off! I am very proud of my sister and I love her very much. Congratulations Danielle and Gino!

What a beautiful wedding and it looks like it was an overall awesome get away. I love all the pics. I didn't post a comment to your last post but Wyatt looks like a toddler now! We need to get the boys together soon.

Oh yeah - I'm jealous about the fresh guacamole!

Love
