The Infants and Toddlers therapist is trying to get Wyatt to become an artist. She brought over markers (yeah) to keep at the house for Wyatt to draw. This is his first masterpiece. Also, our nurse Susan has been working really hard with Wyatt in terms of building his physical strength and eating. She worked with him all day today practicing standing, reaching, and eating ice cream. Wyatt is making progress and becoming stronger each day. His mind wants him to walk/crawl but his body won't allow him yet. Sometimes when he gets really excited he rocks himself on the floor and wants to move around so badly... I think walking/crawling will come soon:)) in Wyatt time of course!
I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.
