Happy 3rd Birthday Chloe!

We had a GREAT TIME preparing for Chloe's birthday today. We spent the entire day as a family just celebrating Chloe's birthday. I love birthdays... I think it is a special day or (week)that allows the person to fell extra special and important. Plus it's fun!! I remember my birthdays- I would have slumber parities with my friends every year and eat crabs with my family. Chloe had a few requests for her birthday... she wanted a balance beam, a strawberry cake with marshmallows with strawberries on top of the marshmallows, and for dinner, chicken and oranges. We granted all her requests. This morning, Benji and his Dad went to the hardware store to buy balance beam making materials and Chloe, her Granddad,and her Daddy built a balance beam together. They also brought back sand to fill her new sandbox she got for her birthday with is shaped like a boat. Chloe also wanted binoculars. She was excited that when that was the first present she opened in the morning. Then during Chloe's nap time, Benji made a strawberry cake, with strawberry icing, with marshmallows and strawberries on top of that (a special request from Chloe). She was so excited to wake up to a home-made cake just the way she imagined it!! Finally, Benji made the BEST dinner I ever had... yummy fried chicken, mash potatoes, salad with oranges in an Asian dressing, and corn. It was so good, but the best part about it is that we were in the company of my grandmother, both sets of grandparents, and my sister. Chloe had a blast the entire day and especially loved playing with Aunt Danielle, rolling around on the floor, going on adventures outside, and being goofy. Aunt Danielle was especially nice when Chloe peed on her... thank goodness it wasn't my white carpet and was Danielle instead:)) If you want to read about Chloe's birthday last year, click here.










Now I get to stay up late to make these... for all of Chloe's friends for tomorrow's party... yipee!!
