Updates

Wyatt is moving into a healing routine.  He is going to PT, we are weaning down meds, and he is sleeping better.  He still requires some oxygen at night and needs assistance walking.  He also feels less pain reclined in a chair.  The healing process is about a year long, but we are focused on PT and nutrition to get him ready for sophomore year by August 30th.

Today Wyatt had a visit by his school counselor Mrs. Fitzsimmons, who has been a constant support helping Wyatt prepare for surgery and checking in along the way.  Our home is not close to Wyatt’s high school- about 45 min away, so her visit was very special!

My friend Laura made us dinner and delivered to us driving over an hour away.  My friend Whitney made a special visit and Wyatt’s buddies checking in make his healing time so much better! ❤️❤️. My friends, coworkers, and family have been a constant support.  Times like this, you are reminded of all your blessings in life.

Another celebration, Wyatt’s Pop Pop who also had back surgery at the same time and same hospital came home today after 20 days in hospital/rehab.  Tonight we celebrated Father’s Day and his 75th Birthday!

We are also starting to cross things off Chloe’s summer fun list. She’s been a trooper through all this- so independent, doing everything on her own and by herself.  So we went cherry picking, and attended a rodeo!
