Benji's grandfather passed away. He lived a good long life and he is now happy in heaven. Benji flew to Texas this past Tuesday and will be arriving home today. Gosh do I miss him and realize what a huge help he is at home. Putting two kids to bed on two different floors and attending to both of their needs while working is very hard and tiring!! But I did it with help from others!! My friend Whitney spent the night the past two nights to help (thank you Whitney!!) and the nurses were a huge help. Wyatt still is very congested, in fact overnight and this morning, he requires 1 liter of oxygen. We are running very low on oxygen and we are trying to conserve until Monday when the delivery comes. We hope we can make it!! We are on our reserve tanks now!! Yesterday, Dr. Colobamni looked at Wyatt's chest x-ray and ordered Zantac for him because he had another brown spit up that looks like chocolate milk!! However, our GI docotor talked to the GPS team and said that he is currently on Prevacid. Zantac and Prevacid do not mix too well, so Dr. G called me and said to just increase the dose of Prevacid. (I love our doctors!!) Dr. C also ordered another chest x-ray in 2 weeks. I just want all this congestion to go away!!
On a side note, the benefit is fast approaching. It's this Saturday May 10th and we need help advertising because we still have remaining tickets to sell. It's going to be a lot of fun with bands and a DJ and drinks will be a plenty!! You may even recognize some of the band members!! I sent out an e-mail with a flyer attached. If you did not receive the e-mail and would like to have it, just let me know. If you like and live nearby, you can post the flyer around town, in your work place, or your neighbor's newspaper boxes. The proceeds from the benefit will go towards Hopkins, Mt. Wash, and Wyatt's expenses. Join us to celebrate Wyatt's success and help spread CDH awareness.

i was told zantac and previcid were the same...? i didnt think this to be true, zach came home on previcid but was still refluxing bad, since his last hospitalization he has been on zantac, they told me they were the same, one was just a "brand name" ugh. also do you havea concentrator for his oxygen? zach came home on a concentrator that we use in the house so we dont have to use our small tanks. he came home on 1 litter per minute so we would go thru tanks very fast! anyway i hope he feels better soon!! xoxo
