Today was a great day! Chloe had her 2nd birthday party. We decided to keep it "small" and invite neighbors and friends that had kids her age. We also invited Tracey who performed at our local library this summer. She sang songs with the kids, used puppets, had a parachute, and even made balloon animals. She was awesome for small kids and kept the party so orderly and fun! Chloe had a great time with her friends and we appreciate her friends for coming to her party! We also blew bubbles and played pin the nose on ELMO...our theme for the party was Sesame Street since that is Chloe's favorite... especially ELMO!
I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.
