Hopkins X 2

Yesterday was Wyatt's appointment with his surgeon to get a new g-tube. His surgeon travels to Africa for the month of August to give free surgeries. I knew this, but the receptionist said that he WILL be there on Aug. 11th. I even questioned her about it and she said he will be there. I even got a confirmation letter. Since I had to work yesterday, Benji and Wyatt's nurse Susan drove to Hopkins during rush hour, which takes about double the time. Wyatt now cries when we drive in the parking garage and in the waiting room... he knows what he is in for and it's so sad. Guess what... Dr. A is out of the country!! so no new g-tube. The G-tube he currently has is falling apart, the plugs broke off, so I was not happy to hear this. So I called and got us in clinic today.... I had the pleasure of driving to Hopkins with my two kids by myself, which was an adventure, to finally get a new g-tube (button). The Hopkins staff were super nice about it and did not let us wait too long.

I just realized (or maybe I forgot) that Carter and Wyatt's birthdays are so close. Only 2 days apart!

I could feel the frustration and anger building in myself reading your post. I'm glad he was able to get a new button though. I hope you are fully prepared to answer all of my questions on it after Carter gets his :)
