I’m dealing with a first. It’s the first time Wyatt is in the hospital with his own debit card, Amazon account, phone, etc…. If you know Wyatt he loves to buy stuff! Everyday I come home, there’s a new package at the door that he ordered!!!! Oh My!
I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

Staying steady
Wyatt is holding steady. He is progressing as expected for major surgery. He is still in the PICU and trying to figure out pain control and low blood pressure. He feels beat up. Very groggy and it hurts when he moves. His incision spans from the bottom of his neck to his tail bone. Under his graspy soft voice, he reminded me it’s hospital bingo day. He won in the 3rd round!
