I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

Wyatt doesn't want to go home yet....
update to homecoming...Wyatt heard he may come home and got a little nervous about the changes, so he decided to spike a fever of 38 degrees C. and have a heart rate of almost 200 bpm. So... we are on our way to the PICU at Hopkins. I wish we could come home instead, but if this had to happen, I would rather it happen in a hospital than at home. Stay tuned..... we'll be at Hopkins for a while.

Gina, sorry for the setback. I'll keep praying - I'm so anxious to see him. Pam says he is really special!

Dear Gina and Benji,
My heart just *hurts* for you....poor Wyatt....how many hurdles does that big guy have to jump? The finish line was right there...thinking of you always. Please tell your Mom I got her message this morning and thank her for the update...sending all the love, hugs, and prayers I can...
