I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

IV access accomplished! Surgery has begun.
We just heard that surgery started...it took 2 hours for IV access :)) The surgery should last 2-3 hours and I probably will not get another update until it's over. Wyatt will be getting surgery as the Pope is saying Mass in Washington DC now. I know Wyatt has some important people routing him on!!! Meanwhile, my dad and grandmom are with Chloe and she is happy as can be. I just got a report that she is riding around in her wagon outside!! Yesterday she helped Grandpop collect sticks so that he could mow the yard and she also decided to bring all her toys outside to play with because it was so pretty outside. She was outside from lunch time until 5pm, swinging on her swing and playing little people.

Hugs, kisses, prayers and positive patch thoughts to Wyatt! My whole family is rooting for him. Thanks for the updates. We keep checking religiously to see how he's doing.
Take care of yourselves!
