I am a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) baby. My diaphragm developed with a hole in it and my organs were misplaced in my chest cavity. The organs pushed on my lungs, causing one lung to be very small. I was born on October 9, 2007 at Johns Hopkins. Now it is three years later: I am saying a bunch of words, I still receive foods through a g-tube and am on oxygen while I sleep. I can't walk yet, but believe I can out scoot anyone! Here is the story of my amazing and patient recovery.

My baby is sick:((
Wyatt woke up at midnight, 4am and 5am and was miserable. So I rocked him in the rocking chair from 5-7ish and then called our pediatrician's cell. He said to come in the office. Wyatt cried the entire time. When the doctor looked in his ear, he said it's "red and raw" then he looked in the other ear and said the same thing. I know this may be an unusual response but I was actually happy. I said, "Yes! finally a normal 2 year old illness!!" Something that is treatable rather than emergency surgery on a Saturday night that Wyatt needed this time last year. His first "normal" illness, his first ear infection. So Azithromycin was prescribed and off we went. Wyatt slept for most of the day and still remains unhappy so I am hoping the z-pak will kick in tomorrow.

Awwwww, he looks so sad :( I hate that he's not feeling well, but I can relate to the feeling of relief that it's just a "normal" kid illness. I hope he's feeling better very soon!
Poor little guy! I'm glad they know what it is and I hope he feels better soon!
